    Brilliant Brits abroad

    by  • January 22, 2015 • Uncategorized • 0 Comments

This coming weekend is the 20th anniversary of the global interiors trade show Maison & Objet.
The Paris-based event is an opportunity for designers to take the world stage and show off their latest crafted wares in hopes of some proper worldwide recognition (and eventual sales).

MandOBannerWhile M&O is hardly a competiton, there is an undeniable sense of national pride that comes about as a result of the coming together of talent from every nation. The Brits are so good at so many things and interiors and design are so high up on that list, we wanted to salute some of the home-grown exhibitors that make us proud…

Not the iconic locations where Marilyn Monroe’s skirt defied gravity, but the place where fashion and interiors brand Lexington found the inspiration for its newest home range, Urban Collective.Urban Collective from LexingtonThe mood of modern Brooklyn peppers the vibe of this new range of bed, bath and homeware textiles that is a cool twist on the quality Americana-inspired, primarily-primary-paletted wares that Lexington is known for.

This is a brilliant step in the right direction for the brand.
Urban style has not lost its shine, nor has one of the most heralded ‘hoods in pop culture, so the look is on time and on trend. Urban Collective from LexingtonThe palette is definitively urban, but with a chalky dusting that takes the hard edge off expected urban style and makes you want to jump right in.
The greys run from soft to steely, the blues have a cool heathery effect and the yellows are a smoky almost ochre that adds kick as well as colour.Urban Collective from LexingtonFor your fix of new urban style, check out the full Urban Collective range at Lexington now.
